Office Hours

Monday through Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm

The office is closed on weekends and major holidays

At times, Dr. Tang may be called away for an emergency. We will contact you if your appointment will be significantly affected. While emergencies generally result in delays, occasionally your visit may need to be rescheduled. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

Your First Appointment

  • Plan to arrive 15 minutes before your appointment for registration
  • bring your insurance cards
  • Bring your MRI, CT scans and x-rays. Although films are preferred, CDs are acceptable. Please note that reports do not replace the actual films. Imaging centers will generally not send films.
  • If obtained from your website and filled out prior to your appointment, bring your Patient Registration, Financial Agreement/Assignment of Benefits, Medical History

Urgent patients are always accommodated. Please have your referring physician fax or e-mail an MRI report, relevant records and a note for Dr. Tang to review. Our fax number is (510) 295-2651.

Appointment Times:

If you expect to be late, please notify the office immediately. Generally, if you are more than 20 minutes late, rescheduling the appointment will be necessary.

Follow up Visit:

These appointments are shorter than your initial consultation. Please write down any questions you have for the doctor prior to the visit to help you remember them. If you have new films and/or additional reports of tests, please bring them.

Medication Prescriptions

Dr. Tang will not refill a medication initially prescribed by other physicians and does not dispense any narcotic prescriptions unless you are an established patient that has recently undergone surgery or are scheduled for surgery. For refills, have your pharmacy fax a request to (510) 295-2651 and allow 48 hours for processing. Since refills are not provided over the weekend, please plan accordingly.
